How to find us whether travelling by car or bus ...

Where we are ...

If you are using What3Words we are at https://w3w.co/windpipe.forgotten.scars

For SatNav we are at 16 Leonard Street, Keswick, CA12 4EL

Or on Google Maps we are here

Heading to Keswick from the M6 (Penrith) ...

Take the first exit for Keswick and at the end of the slip road take the left which leads in to the 30mph zone, down the hill and to a T Junction. At the junction turn right.

Then you will pass the Shell garage, the ambulance depot and the fire station (all on your left) with the river on your right.

Just before the pedestrian crossing take a left and then turn immediately left again. This is Southey Street (note - this is a one way street).

Take the 3rd left (Helvellyn Street) and then the first right (Leonard Street) and we are the third property on the right.

Parking ...

There's free street parking in the vicinity of the property. If nothing is readily available then you can use the drive to the right of the property. We can accommodate one car in the drive but please ensure that you are parked close to the side of the property as there is a right of access through our drive for people who live behind (top tip - pull in forwards). In particular there's a fire officer lady who may be on call in which case if there's a shout she would need to get passed your car on her bike. There's a yellow box marked out as a guide.

If there's already a vehicle in the drive then you can always park across the end of the drive on the white line.

But as mentioned please use the street parking first as that then saves the drive for later arrivals.

Heading to Keswick on the A66 from Cockermouth direction ...

Take the first turn off signed for Keswick (after the Braithwaite and Portinscale junctions). Follow the road in to town and you'll come to a mini roundabout. Go straight across here and follow the road round to the left at the pedestrian crossing, round to the right and then up a short incline. At the top of this slope there's another pedestrian crossing and you need to turn right here and then immediately left on to Southey Street (note - this is a one way street).

Take the 3rd left (Helvellyn Street) and then the first right (Leonard Street) and we are the third property on the right.

Heading to Keswick on the A591 from Ambleside direction ...

You'll come in to the 30mph zone heading down a long hill. Stay on this road and where it eventually levels off you will pass the Shell garage, the ambulance depot and the fire station (all on your left) with the river on your right.

Just before the pedestrian crossing take a left and then turn immediately left again. This is Southey Street (note - this is a one way street).

Arriving by bus from Penrith or Kendal ...

As you enter Keswick you will pass the Shell garage, the ambulance depot and the fire station (all on your left) with the river on your right. Ding the bell and the bus will then stop just after the pedestrian crossing.

Walk back up the hill and just after the crossing there's a set of railings and a hedge which brings you to the entrance to St Johns Street. Where the railing end cross over here and head straight on to Southey Street. Take the third left (Helvellyn Street) and the first right (Leonard Street) and we are the third property on the right.
